I have been in love with Harry Potter for seven years now. I picked up Twilight four years ago and fell in love with that series. However, other Harry Potter fans have told me that I’m not a real HP fan because I don’t hate Twilight. Why is it against the rules to love both series??

Saying that you’re a bad HP fan because you like Twilight is stupid.  They have nothing to do with each other.  Though the fact remains that liking Twilight shows a serious flaw in your tastes.

I was browsing through YT looking for DW stuff and found one of his videos.  I was captivated.  Since then I’ve traveled a large swath of the YT community and love every minute of it.

I feel so alone in the fandom. Everyone is either an insane Potterhead or isn’t in the fandom at all and completely hates it. Anyone else that really appreciates it as a series without having an obsession or their life changed?

I love HP as a series of books.  Some people in this fandom freak me out.
